At our booth next week (#3249), you’ll have your first shot at buying the cutest Starfleet ever to grace the bridge: Kirk, Spock and Uhura will all be available in very limited quantities at the show:

I’m sharing them because they’re adorable and, if you can’t be at SDCC, you can get on the waiting list to get them after the show.

I’m stoked to see these will be in soon and I can’t wait to see them in person. I’m not sure if the Tribbles will be at the show or if they won’t be in until after, but you gonna get on the waiting list for these babies.

You can’t see it, but I’m running around jumping up and down like a madwoman of happy right now because, during my time at Quantum Mechanix, I helped make these dog tags happen. I worked with artist Ben Mund on details. That just, I can’t even, dude, it’s so cool to see them made real.

Now, here’s the thing…if you want them (and you know you do), being on the waiting list is going to be key. QMx is going to gauge how many to make in the first run based on how many people want them, so if you don’t get on the list (and then others don’t, cause you know that happens) and then they set an edition, it’s very likely that they’ll get dog tags and then they’ll go out of stock super fast and there you’ll be, tagless.

So, if you want them, get on the mailing list. I say this as someone who knows first hand just how fast stuff like this goes flying out the door.

And, I mean, really. They’re awesome and shiny.They’re also only 25 bucks!  So you know they’re gonna go fast.

QMx also mentioned that Gina Torres has seen the prototype and loves her. So, this LDH Zoe is Zoe approved ::grin::

Of course, I couldn’t say anything because I worked for QMx and super secret cute was super secret, but I know there would come a time that I could squee publicly and the time is NAO!

Today is my last day at Quantum Mechanix (QMx).

This was totally amicable and I’m definitely still an avid QMx fan and advocate, however, I won’t be able to answer any direct questions so you’ll have to contact them for actual info. ;-)

My love and thanks to everyone at QMx. I’ll miss you, the morning chats, the nerf gun fights and the epic toys that go pew pew. But I’m also so very thankful for every day spent with you & I expect hugs soon.

As far as where I’m going and what’s next. Well, for now I have no immediate plans and I may go back to doing the freelance thing. But if you need something done or know of something cool, feel free to let me know. ;-)

Well, work-wise anyway ;-)

For those of you who have been following along, you know I’ve been working at Entertainment Earth in one form or another for the last six years. It was an amazing time, a great learning experience and — let’s face it — I got to play with a lot of really cool toys along the way.

Today was my last day over at Entertainment Earth and I’ll admit, I’m a bit sad to say goodbye to a really good group of folks.

Starting Monday, I’ll be diving in over at Quantum Mechanix and splashing around full time. I’ve always enjoyed a challenge and QMx has definitely offered one, so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can create together. Not to mention, they make some of the coolest replicas ever.

I appreciate all of you guys following along and I’m looking forward to the future ;-)
