Once upon a time, in an acting class far, far away -- I met a guy named Courtney Gains. Before he was Malachi, and back when he was just a guy I hung out with and played music with.
Well, this little movie called Children of the Corn happened.
From that day on, while he's always been my darling and one of my best friends, he's been a lot more to other people -- an icon, a "that guy", and an actor who's been working for over 20 years.
He's also been a rebel, a musician and an independent filmmaker.
Which is why I think the fact that he's gotten an indy release for Benny Bliss & The Disciples of Greatness is squee-worthy.
Plus, I think the website is pretty sweet ;-)
