"I'd buy THAT for a dollar!"

What does it say about me, I wonder, that I got all bouncy about the Star Wars Clone Wars Action Figures Wave 6 because the guns are bitchin' (yes, I said bitchin'. I'm a Valley Girl and a product of the 80's, deal with it ;P ) and the Super Battle Droid looks like a cross between ED-209 and Robocop?

Edward Nights Shades of Night.

I've been really lucky in my discoveries of interesting blogs. How can I not love the intertubewebs when they bring me the joy that is @cleolinda and the Secret Life of Dolls?

In short, she's been writing about a recent addition to "The Shelf" in the form of one "Edward Dollen" aka "the Sparklepire"

...can you see why I already love it?

Anyway, while you may need to read back a bit to get all of there references, this post just put me on the floor and I had to share.

For the record, I'm considering sending over the Twilight Edward Cullen Tonner Doll just to start the emo-fest!

Life In Plastic, It's Fantastic!

All I can think when I see this Harley-Davidson Barbie Doll is "I'm a Harley Girl, In the Harley Wo-orld."

I know. It's bad. It's evil -- and yet, it's awesome.

Considering how freaked out certain people got about the Barbie DC Black Canary Collector Doll, I have to figure this Biker Babe Barbie is going to upset a few people.

Now I just need to find her a bike....

Little Little Big Planet?

I have a horrible admission to make. I know I have friends who will likely threaten me with -50,000 DKP, but...

...I've never seen Little Big Planet.

Still, I had to post these. The Little Big Planet Wave 1 Action Figure Set is way too cute and, maybe. it'll appease my friends just a bit.

(FYI - My blog likes to cut the right side off pics sometimes, so if it did that, click the pic for a better look)

In other news - the contest is still going, so make sure you let your friends know.

Oh and, I've been sick. So, I am now going back to bed.

Ramble!

First things first, thank you for the answers to the question in my last post. I mean, it kind of helps to know you're not talking to yourself. Know what I mean? I mean, that's crazy and I don't want people to think I'm crazy and isthatabigbunnyrabbit...

..um.

Yeah.

Anyway.

I have Nathan Fillion on the brain at the moment. I heard that his new show Castle already got canceled, but I'm really hoping it was a wicked rumor. The show isn't amazing, but I'm hardly going to complain about spending 44 minutes starting at Fillion. Know what I mean?

In other news, I'm not 100% sure what I think about the BSG series finale. It's an odd mix of some of the best acting I've ever seen on TV, some of the oddest plot structure ever and that feeling that they're being forced to cram way too much stuff in at the last minute.

Still, sad as I am to see it go, it'll be off the air before I have to look at the "SyFy" logo (don't even get me started on that) so I can turn the page and the channel all at the same time.

Not to mention, I got my "Big Frakkin' Bag" from SDCC last year, so the SciFi booth has provided me with enough joy for one lifetime, thankyouverymuch.

I guess, in a way, I'm used to the shows I like being cancelled. Nowhere Man, Brimstone, Firefly. The list goes on.

Except for Law & Order. That remains and, while it's not always perfect, to quote Stitch it's "Still good. Yeah. Still good."

Speaking of which. I must have this Stitch Digital Hi-Vision 20" LCD HDTV!

Q & A

I got to thinking. If you're reading this blog, I have no idea why ;-)

I'm curious. Why do you read or do you have any questions for me?

It's been one of those days where I can't seem to get a decent thought process going and I figure that starting a conversation is never a bad idea. ::grin::

So, do me a favor and talk to me?

Use the Force, Barack!

I'm not sure if a gremlin crawled into my computer or there's a raincloud over my head or what, but everything I've tried to do today as freaked out and I've had to do it three times.

So, I decided I'd just mention a few things we added and leave it at that. Here's hoping the tech gods are nice about my links. ::fingers crossed::

First things first. If I had a dollop of artistic talent, I'd get one and have a blast. But I still think this is pretty dang wicked cool.

And because I just need to play with this and we got a better picture...

Star Wars The Force Trainer

That done, I'm going to go do some sort of exorcism on my cubicle. Maybe it'll help.

Shopping is fun!

VNV Nation is making me want to head out to Bar Sinister. Slight problem. It's Thursday. Can't go stompy clubbing till Saturday ;-(

In other news...I've been roaming around the "Great Deals & Not Mint" sections of our website.

I came across a couple things I thought were pretty cool and, since I like to pay less, figured I'd share ;-)

Not to gunk it up, just have images and you can click through if ya want.

Working on a new project for the main EE website. I think it's gonna be neat.

Oh, and wait till you see where Jes seems to have ended up ;-)

Have a great one!

I Want A Pony. Want. Want!

Blame Topless Robot. He started it.

He got me to go to this post: My Little But Still Pretentious Pony

Which led me to this post: My Little Considerably-Less-Pretty Ponies

Which sent me here: OMG You Made That? Deviant My Little Ponies

And I ended up staring at this...this...this image of geek awesome.

It's All About The Eyes ;-)

Here's hoping I have recovered from my Geekgasm well enough to type.

::deep breath::

Okay.

So.

I was going through the site and stumbled across the Gremlins Gizmo Craft Label Statue from Jun Planning.

Gremlins Gizmo Craft Label Statue

Now...

I'm sure there are situations when there's something exciting about a grown woman being reduced to moans and whimpers as she whispers "wantneedwantneedgiveittome"...

...but I have a feeling that, in this case, that's not the word one might use ;-)

Still. Want. Need. GIVEITTOME!

Ghost Writer: Day 3 (Baz Anderson)

Baz Anderson sent me this Friday and, due to a flurry of excitement and silliness, I just never got to post it. So, he mentions Friday and, because I hate to edit a writer, I'm leaving it in there even if it's clearly Monday. It's my fault and I deserve never to have him guest blog again (but hope he will because I have come to adore him. ::grin:: )

It’s Friday. A new week has come in like a dove, and then fallen to the floor like a stuck goose – making whatever noise stuck gooses make. But take heart! There is one grand lady of flight that will not let us down, and that is The Enterprise.

Not only has a new trailer been released to feast our eyes on until its release in a couple of months, this beautiful new model of the re-booted starship of our dreams now graces the pages of Entertainment Earth.

Star Trek Movie Enterprise Vehicle

It’s slick, sweet, retro and yet tomorrow. It looks like Hollywood may have pulled of another reboot. We will have to wait and see. But as I sit here in my broken barcalounger, spray painted silver with faux jewels in the armrests to simulate comm buttons, I can take heart knowing that they’ve got my beloved ship right. They did the old girl proud.

I’m sure I won’t be the only one at Klingon language camp this year who has one of these, but I can be pretty sure I’ll be the only one who’s wrapped it in swaddling clothes, sung it a lullaby and rocked it to sleep.

New franchises must be nurtured. Don’t let any marketing pujwI' (weakling) tell you otherwise!

The Softer Side of the Armor..

So I know I spent a lot of today saying things like "Boobies!" and "Armored Hawtness" but, before people decide that I'm being horridly sexist or something, I figure it might be worth giving a little bit of insight into my sudden delight upon seeing these figures.

Growing up, most of the females I saw in SciFi were more sexy than functional. Uhura didn't man the security station like Tasha Yar. She wore a short skirt and took calls. )well, she -did-) I remember thinking, even as a kid, that skirts that short would be really...annoying.

There was Tanya Roberts in Sheena & Beastmaster. Brigitte Neilsen in Red Sonja. Not like they were in those movies for dialogue, right? (To this day, I giggle every time I think "My the honor."

Even Leia was more haughty than tough, y'know? She didn't even know how to hold a blaster until Empire.

You know who I wanted to be?

Col. Wilma Deering in Buck Rogers. I watched Erin Gray and thought "Hey, she's a pilot. Cool!". And, while I had a huge crush on Marc Singer, Faye Grant was the reason I watched V.

So, the concept of a female stormtrooper. A woman in the same armor as the men around her, with a blaster and her hair back just made me happy.

Because that's what I wanted to be. I wanted to be a fighter. A soldier. With a cool looking weapon and a bad ass attitude.

So, maybe I've been saying "Boobies" all day. But, trust me when I say that I'm more than thrilled not to see -any- cleavage on this babe.

ZOMG! Breast Armor!

The EE Exclusive Star Wars Joker Squad Action Figures have arrived and they look pretty dang awesome.

Granted, I'm most partial to the chick, but how can I not be? ;-)

EE Exclusive Star Wars Joker Squad Action Figures

Personally, I just love that I actually turned the packaging to the side to make sure her armor went out just a bit more than the rest of the guys.

One thing I definitely enjoy about my job is seeing toys like this go from a thought to a reality. Is rather cool.

Chick Trooper FTW!

Warning: This Post Is Full Of Cute!

I saw this little guy in person and I think that the Hasbro FurReal Friends Zambi the Elephant is truly adorable and awesome.

First of all, he kisses and wraps his truck around your finger. He wiggles his ears and he's obscenely cute.

FurReal Friends Zambi the Elephant

Plus Hasbro is committing to donate 50 percent of the net profits from the sales of ZAMBI THE BABY ELEPHANT to the PROJECT ZAMBI Fund* – a mission that cares about children orphaned by AIDS in Africa.

Is it bad that I want to buy him, take him home and then download the Baby Elephant Walk for when I set him loose in the living room?

Retraction/Correction

For the record, I got schooled by Adam Pawlus, who informed me the debate isn't on the bust but on the color on the jacket on film.

::grin:: So, I have been updated and Adam once again proved I am the lesser geek.

But, truth is, I was looking at Han's face and butt, not his jacket ;-)

Monday, March 2, 2009

Color Test.

Quiz time.

Apparently, people can't decide on what color his jacket is in the picture.

I say brown? So far I've also heard blue and purple.
